(Cushing, Okla.) The following information is a preliminary collision report furnished by the Department of Public Safety.

 

A fatality incident occurred on Monday, March 16, 2015 at approximately 11:48 (am) on 347736 East 8090 Road in Chandler, Oklahoma (Lincoln County).

 

A 2012 Polaris Ranger 800 that was driven by a person whose name is withheld due to age was traveling eastbound on a private drive when they lost control of the vehicle and it departed the driveway to the left. The Polaris Ranger 800 then overturned one quarter time coming to rest on the driver. The driver was pinned about 10 minute before being freed by initial First Responders.

 

The driver (of the Polaris Ranger 800) was pronounced at the scene by the Medical Examiner due to internal and external trunk injuries. A passenger in the vehicle whose identity was also withheld due to age was transported by a private vehicle to Stroud Regional Medical Center where they were treated and released with an injury to the leg.

 

The accident was caused by unsafe speed for the type of roadway.
