(Stillwater, Okla.) – A Cushing man — who had been placed on probation three months ago in four separate cases — was given a five-year prison term Friday after he admitted possessing a 2002 Chevrolet SUV that was stolen from a rural Glencoe woman in February.

Christopher Paul Hickman, 25, accepted a plea bargain Friday in the felony for which he could have been given as much as a life prison term due to his criminal record.

District Judge Phillip Corley ordered him to pay $300 in fines and assessments, along with revoking the balance of his suspended sentences in his four previous cases to be served concurrently with his latest case.

In December, Hickman had been placed on five years’ probation, except for 90 days in jail with credit for time served, for breaking into a woman’s house in the 1600 block of N. Little Street in Cushing on Sept. 16, 2014. Hickman was also ordered to pay $2,796 restitution and perform 75 hours of community service.

In December, Hickman, who had been terminated from the Payne County Drug Court program in October, had been placed on five years’ probation, except for 90 days in jail with credit for time served, for possessing methamphetamine in Cushing on March 14, 2014. He was ordered to have a substance abuse evaluation, perform any recommended follow-up and pay $850 in fees ad assessments.

Also in December, Hickman had been placed on five years’ probation, except for 90 days in jail with credit for time served, for breaking into the fellowship hall of the Park Place Baptist Church in Cushing on Jan. 21, 2014, and ordered to pay $486 restitution.

Also in December, Hickman, who was originally given a deferred sentence, had been placed on five years’ probation, except for 90 days in jail with credit for time served, for making a false declaration of ownership of gold rings to a Cushing pawn shop on July 15, 2011, and ordered to pay $375 restitution.
