(Cushing, Okla.) –Session two of the Payne County Leadership Connections class Cushing, got underway yesterday, February 11, 2015 with students and instructor Suzette Barta meeting up for lunch at Mi Casa Restaurant. From there, the group traveled on to the Public Safety Center where a tour was given By Chiefs Tully Folden (Police) and Chris Pixler (Fire Department). The Public Safety Center was built in 2013 and houses both police and fire services.
Next, the class went to Cushing Public Schools’ new middle school construction site at 521 Harmony. Superintendent Koln Knight gave a tour of the site. He told the class that the school’s estimated completion date is July (2015) and will hold between 800 – 850 people/students in all. However, a more likely number of students would be around 400 to 600 attending the new school.
Finishing out the session, the class visited with Mike Chatterton (Project Manager) Doug Carson & Associates (DCA) Cushing. DCA is a global company with their office in Cushing, Oklahoma. They have more than two decades of experience in CD, DVD, Blu-ray and HD DVD mastering. They have been at the top of this industry in both innovation and performance. Some of their innovations include high speed mastering, network mastering, and multi-session.
