(Drumright, Okla.) Thursday evening, Jan. 8th, the Drumright Chamber of Commerce Banquet held the annual installation Banquet beginning with live entertainment from “Call Your Brother” (a version of the Dust Bowl Brothers). Ron Dyer was Master of Ceremonies for the event. 

Kevin Vogele with River of Life Church gave the invocation followed by an introduction of his wife Veronica.

A delicious dinner was served to all that attended the banquet by Joseph’s Fine Foods, complete with dessert and beverages.

Dyer then made a few introductions before turning it over to Jim Martin (CFO of Keystone Gas Corporation) who introduced the Citizen of the Year Rocky Rockhold.  Rockhold, a Drumright native and owner of Drumright Auto Supply, is also known for his contributions in working with youth in Boy Scouts of America, helping seniors on fixed incomes or even a bank president. Martin said at the end of the day, Rockhold would do “just about anything for anybody.”

Next, Wendell Bookout “aka” Mr. Drumright, was introduced into the Drumright Area Chamber of Commerce Hall of Fame.  Bookout is known for many reasons himself, including Citizen of the Year (2000); serving on several boards, as well as some political involvement.  His hand in rural healthcare has helped Drumright’s healthcare become “second to none.”

Outgoing Chamber President Robbie Dorsey then made a few comments, as well as recognizing Sheila Pratt (Drumright Hospital), Carol Beaumont (Drumright Area Chamber of Commerce Director) and Robin Jones (Drumright Dental)  He also recognized state dignitaries Rep. Dennis Casey and Rep. Lee Denney (not present) before introducing incoming Drumright Chamber President Kay Murphy, who spoke briefly.

The 2015 Officers of the Drumright Area Chamber of Commerce are:  Kay Murphy, President; Toni Osterhout, Vice President; Travis Kirk, Treasurer; Carol Beaumont, Secretary and Tara Osterhout, President Elect.
