(Cushing, Okla.) The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported that there was a traffic accident last night on Lone Chimney Road about 9:39 (pm). The accident occurred in area of Lone Chimney Road about .2 miles west of Ripley Road which is located (.8 miles east of Glencoe) in Payne County.
Christopher Carpenter (34) of Stillwater was driving a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu west bound on Lone Chimney Road when he failed to negotiate departing the roadway to the left going through a fence.
Carpenter was transported by LifeNet to Stillwater Medical Center where he was admitted in stable condition for observation for trunk and internal injuries.
OHP reports that seat-belts were in use and the vehicle was equipped with a airbag which was deployed.
