(Cushing, Okla.) Friday, Oct. 10, 2014, is the last day Oklahoma residents can register to vote in time for the General Election, November 4th.
Voter registration information:
– Voter registration closes 24 days before an election. If you apply when registration is closed, your application will be processed when regisration reopens after the election.
– If you mail your application, it must be postmarked more than 24 days before the election in which you wish to vote.
– You may not vote until you receive a Voter Card from the County Election Board.
– If you do not receive a Voter Card within 30 days, contact your local County Election Board.

Oklahoma Voter Registration applications can be picked up at County Election Board offices, Tag Agencies, Public libraries, Post offices and the State Election Board. In Cushing: Cushing Tag Agency, 109 W. Broadway; Cushing Public Library, 215 N. Steele and the Post Office, 116 S. Cleveland. To be eligible to vote you must be:
– At least 18 years old
– A United States citizen
– A resident of Oklahoma
Voter registration forms ask for:
– Your name and address
– Your political affiliation
– Your birth date
– Your Oklahoma Driver’s license number or
– The last four digits of your Social Security number
You must sign and date the oath printed on the form.
Changing Your Registration
After you become a registered voter, you may need to change your registration. Changes you may need to make include:

You must fill out a new voter registration application form to change your voter registration. Follow the instructions on the form about changing your registration. You may change your voter registration at any time- with one exception: you cannot change your political affiliation between April 1 and August 31 in even-numbered years.
