(Stillwater, Okla.) — A twice-convicted drug dealer from Oklahoma City has been jailed on charges of bringing a cell phone into the Cushing prison and possessing marijuana with intent to distribute, both on Labor Day weekend.

Takila Ronisha Miles, 32, remains in the Payne County Jail on $40,000 bond pending a court appearance today on the two-count felony charge filed last week.

If convicted of bringing a cell phone into the Cimarron Correctional Facility and possessing marijuana with intent to distribute, both on Aug. 31, after being convicted of a prior felony, Miles could be sentenced to life in prison.

According to state Department of Corrections records, Miles was convicted in Oklahoma County in 2000 of drug distribution that year and also in 1999, for which she was given two concurrent 10-year suspended sentences.
