Robert Earl Greene, a longtime Cushing resident passed away on Monday morning after an accident near Alex at the age of 56. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday at the Elks Lodge in Cushing.

Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Ok.

 

Robert was born on February 10, 1958 in Guthrie, Oklahoma to Earl and Lorene (Pruitt) Greene. He grew up in Watonga and later moving to Drumright where he graduated from Drumright High School in 1976. Shortly after graduating, he joined the U.S. Army. He served his country from 1976 to 1981. After returning from the service, he met his new born daughter Tawanna. Robert married Shirley Moore, to this union Rene’, Kyle, Robert, Wesley and Thomas were born. He later married the love of his life Tammy Ewer on June 13, 2014 at the Elk’s Lodge in Cushing; he has helped raise her two sons Jonathon and Josh. Robert drove a truck for Coca-Cola, Cudd and most recently employed with Gibson Energy. He loved riding motorcycles, hunting, camping, collecting coins and guns. Robert was a member of the National Wildlife Association. He especially loved spending time with his family.

 

Robert is survived by his wife Tammy of the home, daughter Tawanna Schoen and husband Griffin of Montezuma, Kansas, sons Kyle Greene and wife Chelsea of Cushing, Robert Greene and finance’ Jamie Brown of Cushing, Thomas Greene and girlfriend Nikki White of Cushing, Jonathon Pauley and finance’ Shaneen Turner of Cushing, Josh Pauley and wife Chelsea of Cushing, brother Terry Dean Greene of Drumright, sisters Denise Smith and husband Mike of Broken Arrow, Ok, Earlene Greene of Cushing, grandchildren Thomas, David, Skyler, Taelyn, Jaece, Layla, Jaxx and Gracie, and two close friends Todd Hogan and Paul Parker.

 

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Rene’ Greene and son Wesley Greene.
