(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Cushing woman has admitted concealing a tomahawk, cologne and several shirts, all stolen from a Cushing man in April, and shoplifting from two Cushing stores on the same day in June.

Stephanie Renee Flint, 37, was released from jail Friday on a plea agreement with the prosecution that she enroll in and successfully complete the Payne County Drug Court program.

Associate District Judge Stephen Kistler stayed her sentencing until Aug. 21, 2015, after she pleaded guilty to the felony stolen property charge and two misdemeanor shoplifting charges Friday.

In her felony case, Flint was already on misdemeanor drug probation when she was arrested shortly after noon on April 19 at the house of a man whose property was stolen, Cushing Police Officer Matt Piatt wrote in an affidavit.

The homeowner said that when he left the previous day, his house was secured, but the next day, “he noticed things were moved around in the residence and he was missing property,” that he found sacked up in the back yard, the affidavit said.

A Cushing woman said she saw a woman wearing what looked like nurse’s scrubs and carrying a backpack leave the man’s backyard minutes before he arrived, the affidavit said. She later identified Flint as the suspect, the affidavit said.

Cushing Police Officer Bill McCarty located Flint — wearing clothing matching the description and carrying a backpack — three blocks from the man’s house, the affidavit said.

“Flint was asked for consent to search her backpack and she took items out of her backpack to include clothing and a tomahawk with a smoking pipe attached,” the affidavit said.

“While I was speaking with Flint, I saw she had blue sparkling powder in her hairline on the right side of her head and on her neck and shirt,” Piatt wrote in his affidavit.

When Piatt went inside the house with the victim, the officer saw blue sparkling powder in the bathtub where someone had bathed, the affidavit said.

“When I confronted Flint about the similarities of the blue sparkling powder on her that was also in the bathtub, she stated she was homeless…and needed to take a shower and use the bathroom,” the officer wrote in his affidavit.

Four months before that incident, Flint admitted being intoxicated outside the Cushing Senior Citizens’ Center and possessing a drug without a prescription in August of 2013, court records show.

Flint was placed on one year’s probation conditioned on her having a drug/alcohol evaluation, any recommended follow-up, random drug tests, paying a $100 fine and performing 10 community service hours.

About six weeks after she was released on a personal recognizance bond on her Cushing stolen property case, Flint was charged with shoplifting items from the Dollar General Store and Maverick Mini Mart — both on June 18 in Cushing.
