On Friday August 8, 2014, Heaven gained another Angel. Nicholas Cole Easterwood, age 11, of Cushing was taken from this life to be with Jesus. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 14, 2014 at the Assembly of God Church in Cushing.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home in Cushing, OK.
Cole was born on December 3, 2002 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Michelle Easterwood and Michael Milstead, Cole grew up in Cushing and attended Harrison Elementary School. He was getting ready to start Cushing Middle School as a 6th Grader. He had a million Watt smile and had never met a stranger. Cole loved spending time with his family, especially his brother Will. Cole enjoyed many things in this life like football, basketball, fishing, singing, and was a huge Pro Wrestling Fan. Cole enjoyed a good argument; some would say he would argue with a fence post. He was a joy to be around and a kind hearted soul, his laugh was contagious, and he was easy to love.
Cole is survived by his parents: Michelle and Michael, brothers: Aaron Long, Will Easterwood, Michael Milstead Jr., And Brother at Heart Sean Komorski. Four sisters: Krista Long, Micha Milstead, Myra Milstead, Michelle Milstead, Elizabeth Long and her boyfriend Kyle Beaver, and Sisters at Heart Rozche Martin and Letenetta Lindsay Grandparents: Beth and Dan Thompson, of Perkins Great grandmother: Carlyon Long, of Perkins, God parents: Bill and Deborah Barrett, of Cushing, Uncles and Aunts: David and Kim Davis, of Jennings Jeremy and Jessie Eisensmith, of Orlando, OK, Sean and Jennifer Eisensmith, of Stillwater, Betty McCraw, of Dixon, OK, Randy Duren and girlfriend Joy King, of Stillwater, Nathan and Candice Hamaker, of Perry, Joseph Jones, of Stillwater Anthony and Ashley Jones, of Stillwater. Nieces: Julianne and Natasha Long, as well as numerous cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his Grandparents: Hubert and Eunice Easterwood, Great Grandfather Harry Long, Uncle Robert Jason Burt, Grandmother Alma Riggins, Great Grandmother Lorraine Cooley.
During this difficult time the family has requested In Lieu of flowers, that donations be made in the name of Cole Easterwood to the Palmer Marler Funeral Home.
