Larry Dennis Wingfield, a longtime Cushing resident, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2014 at his home in Cushing. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, August 7, 2014 at the Chapel of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Ok.

Larry was born on July 5, 1949 in Cushing to Dennis and Martha (Bowling) Wingfield. He was adopted by his grandparents Oscar and Lillie Wingfield. He grew up in Cushing and the Schegel area, graduating from Cushing High School in 1967. Larry married Diann Day on November 10, 1967 in Cushing, to this union Tracy and Brandi were born. He later married Robin Lemons on June 19, 1991. Larry worked as a fireman for the City of Cushing, then a Ranger at the Cushing City Lake. Larry retired from O.S.U. in the Agriculture Department. He was a member of Ducks Unlimited. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, camping and reading. Larry especially loved being with his family.

Larry is survived by his daughters Tracy Stultz and husband Wayne of Poteau, Brandi Thompson of Glenpool, half-brothers Jeff Wingfield and wife Linda of Arkansas, half-sister Denise Brannon and her husband Ray of Oilton, sisters Doris Hawkins of Tulsa, Shirley Williams and husband Jan of Sand Springs, Karen Jones and husband Oren of Cushing, grandchildren Marriah Thompson, Brysen Thompson, Brody Thompson, Ryland Stultz, Chancelyn Standlee and Tesla Standlee.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter Meagan Wingfield, brother Dennis Wingfield, Bill Wingfield and Jerry Wingfield, half-sister Cindy Wingfield.
