The Guns and Hoses Blood Drive through the Oklahoma Blood Institute held at the Cushing Public Safety Center was a huge success.
Blood Program Consultant, Tina Baker stated she was very pleased with the turnout. Police Chief Tully Folden and Fire Chief Chris Pixler were in a friendly competition to see who could get the most donors. By a slim 18-14 margin, the Fire Department walked away with the trophy.
Donors received a Guns and Hoses t-shirt and 2 free tickets to either the Oklahoma City Zoo or Tulsa Zoo.
The police and fire departments are discussing hosting another blood drive possibly in December.
