(Cushing, Okla) Jim Pickard, President of the local Lions Club International, called his meeting to order today at 12:20 p.m.
The agenda started with song & pledge by Lion Jerry Snider. This was followed by prayer requests for: Neta Blake, Stewart Arthurs, Susan Branstetter and Cleo Johnson family. The Prayer was given by Russell Thurman.
Lions Club then introduced guests: Kateri Holbert’s son, Montrose (Monty), Andrew & Patrica Seeberger. Andrew Seeberger spoke about using part of Lions Park as a dog park. This would be part of Andrew’s Eagle Scout merit badge program.
Program Lion of the day was Kym Skinner with Bank of Cushing and Bank of Cushing President John Bryant. Bryant discussed the 26th Annual PRCA Rodeo coming up July 11-12 (2014).
A final work spot at the Rodeo is still needing to be filled. Any Lion interested should contact Jim Pickard to get on the list.
A resignation was given by Lion Larry Haney from the club and Kateri Holbert presented attendance awards to some of her fellow Lions.
The meeting finished up with laughter and a joke by Sharon Hudgins.
Cushing Lions Club meets each Tuesday at noon in the Lions Den in downtown Cushing.
