Zelda Rose Collins, Cushing resident, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2014 in Yukon, at the age of 78 years.
The daughter of the late George Donald Baldwin and Jane Edith Fields Baldwin, Zelda was born on December 6, 1935 in Cushing. She was raised and educated in Cushing and Bethany. Zelda graduated from Bethany High School and received her LVN while living in California.
Zelda was a member of the Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling in the United States and being involved in church activities.
Survivors include six children, Robert Collins of Pismo Beach, California, Linda Williams of Long Beach, California, Roy Collins of Cushing, Londa Collins of Cushing, Edith Shearer of Yukon and Elizabeth Collins of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren, Alonso Yescas, Ruth Brooks, Anita Melton, David Yescas, Carolyn Zacharias and Sandra Hamman; nine great-grandchildren; one brother, John “David” Baldwin of Pawtucket, Rhode Island; two sisters, Donelda Mayo of Cushing and Leola Miller of Ardmore and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Cushing Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Ned McCarty officiating.
Burial will follow in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
