(Cushing, Okla) Cushing Lions Club met today for their noon meeting in the Lions Den where the installation of new officers took place.
Lion Jim Pickard was installed as the new president and will take over his new position on July 1 (2014). Pickard said he is looking forward to serving “or” service to Cushing and “or” Lions Club. He told KUSH at last week’s meeting it has been 25 years since he first served as President of a Lions Club. He looked proud as outgoing President Terry Brannon spoke with him.
In other business, Lion Troy Jenkins gave information regarding branch and e-clubs for Lions Club International. Lion Monty Waldron spoke on diabetes and one person’s struggle with the illness. Lions Club secretary Kateri Holbert then handed out pins to those members with 100% attendance.
Cushing Lions Club meets each Tuesday at noon in the Lions Den in downtown Cushing.
