(Stillwater, Okla.) — A man convicted last year of making harassing phone calls has been charged again with leaving harassing voice mail messages to his ex-girlfriend in which he allegedly threatened her and her husband in Perkins.

Lloyd Mitchell Watts, 37, of McCloud, was arrested last week in Shawnee and ordered held in the Payne County Jail on $20,000 bail pending a July 3 court appearance with an attorney.

A Perkins woman reported that Watts, who is her child’s father, had called her 19 times on April 29 and left 14 voice mails threatening her and her husband, Perkins Police Officer George W. Farmer IV wrote in an affidavit.

She claimed “this type of issue has been ongoing for five plus years with a detailed history of domestic violence and drug abuse,” the affidavit alleged.

She turned over a recorded CD with the voice mails left by Watts on April 29, along with emails of screen shots from her cell phone including call times and text messages, the affidavit alleged.

One message at 7:53 p.m. said “He’s gonna die, he’s gonna die and I’m gonna be sitting right here when he does,” the affidavit alleged.

Another message at 7:38 p.m. said, “There ain’t no amount of prayer you could pray to Jesus! You ask him to f…… save you! He’s not going to!,” the affidavit alleged.

Another message at 5:58 p.m. said, “I want my little girl to call me, and if you don’t want me to talk to her you have something else coming to you,” the affidavit alleged.

Another message at 4:13 p.m. said, “And you can take that to the f…… cops! You take that f…… recording, you let everybody f…… know!” the affidavit alleged.

In a text message turned over to Perkins police, the child’s mother said, “She just got home and doesn’t want to talk. And I’m not going to let her while you are drunk and pissed off. Try again tomorrow when you’re sober,” the affidavit alleged.

Court records show that on New Year’s Eve of last year, Watts was charged with two felony counts of harassment by electronic communication on Dec. 23 and Dec. 24 of 2013, to the woman and her husband.

Although an arrest warrant was issued on Dec. 31, 2013, for Watts, he was not taken into custody until last week, court records show. His bail on those charges was set at $5,000, court records show.

Watts had been charged last summer with harassing the same woman “stating that he would harm the victim if she failed to answer the phone,” court records show. A bench warrant was issued for his arrest when he failed to appear in court in November on that charge.

Thirteen months ago, Watts was placed on probation for one year, with three days in jail and an order to be evaluated for mental health, as well as alcohol and drug abuse, and to perform any recommended follow-up for making harassing phone calls in June 2012 and March 2012, court records show.

In April 2010, Watts was also placed on probation for one year with an order to have a drug and alcohol evaluation, along with an anger resolution class, for breaking and entering a woman’s apartment in 2009, court records show.

If convicted of all of his charges, Watts could be incarcerated for 16 years, court records show.
