(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Stillwater man — arrested when a search warrant was served at his apartment — has been ordered to appear in court July 7 on charges of possessing child pornography, illegally using his computer to store it, and possessing marijuana with intent to distribute.
If convicted of the three-count felony charge, Owen Robert O’Neill, 28, could be given a life prison term plus 10 years and a $30,000 fine. O’Neill remains free on $25,000 bond, court records show.
Stillwater Police Detective Mary Jurczewsky — who is a member of the Oklahoma Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force — receives information from task force members about ongoing investigations, according to her affidavit.
Shortly before 8 a.m. on May 15, members of the ICAC Task Force, along with Stillwater and Edmond police officers, served a search warrant at O’Neill’s apartment, Jurczewsky’s affidavit said.
“During the search of the residence, numerous images of child pornography were located on one of the computers in the residence,” at which O’Neill said he lived alone, the affidavit alleged.
Two Stillwater police detectives found 147 grams of a green leafy substance, a portion of which tested as marijuana, in various plastic baggies, the affidavit alleged.
Pipes, pinch-hitters, rolling papers, scales, packaging materials and several zip-lock bags of a green leafy substance were located in the apartment, the affidavit alleged.
O’Neill was arrested at his residence shortly before 9 a.m. on May 15, the affidavit said.
