Mary Belle Jageler, former Cushing resident now of Tulsa, passed away on Friday, May 23, 2014 at the age of 92 years.

    The daughter of the late Ivy Edwin Prescott and Gertrude Cromer Prescott, Mary was born on November 13, 1921 in Cushing.  She was raised and educated in Cushing, graduating from Cushing High School.

    She was united in marriage to Alfred Jageler in 1942 and to this union three children, Judy, Kathy and Carol, were born.  The couple was married for 25 years.

    Mary attended Parkland Baptist Church in Tulsa.  She enjoyed quilting, reading, working crossword and word puzzles and braiding rugs.  Mary was known for her wonderful cooking, especially her homemade chicken and noodles.

    Survivors include two daughters, Judy Rudin of Stillwater and Kathy Jageler of Tulsa; two granddaughters, Julie Kenyon and her husband, Michael, of Dallas and Stephanie Drake and her husband, Rick, of Tulsa; two great-grandchildren, Christian Rudin-Auerbach and Branden Rudin-Auerbach; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, and her dog, Copper.

    In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by infant daughter, Carol Ann Jageler; one brother, Guy Prescott; five sisters, Mildred Fick, Buehla Chappell, Doris Bailey, Ruby Tolliver and Gloria Forcum.

    Graveside services will be Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fairlawn Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hometown Hospice, 804 S. Main Street, Broken Arrow, OK 74012 or to the Tulsa Garden Club Rose Fund, 2435 S. Peoria Ave, Tulsa OK, 74114-1350.
