Dr. Travis Burkett is pleased to welcome Joshua Prentice, DDS to Drumright Dental Center. Dr. Prentice will begin seeing patients on June 2.
Dr. Joshua Prentice was born and raised in Owasso, Oklahoma. Dr. Prentice attended the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry where he received his degree as a Doctor of Dental Surgery. He completed his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry from the University of Oklahoma.
Dr. Prentice enjoys being involved in volunteer work in his community. He has participated in volunteer dental events such as the Oklahoma Mission of Mercy and Kid’s Day at the OU College of Dentistry. He has also worked with local community clinics, such as Crossings Community Clinic, that provided free or reduced fee dental services. Dr. Prentice also spent time during dental school working and learning at the VA hospital in Oklahoma City.
Dr. Prentice is dedicated to advancing his education. He has received training to provide CEREC same day crowns and Invisalign. Dr. Prentice has also completed continuing education courses in endodontics lead by the internationally recognized expert Dr. Clifford Ruddle. Dr. Prentice continues to enjoy learning about advancements in the dental field and is persistent in furthering his dental education.
Dr. Prentice is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Oklahoma Dental Association, American Dental Association, Tulsa County Dental Society, and Cerecdoctors.com.
Dr. Prentice is married to his high school sweetheart, Ashley. They enjoy traveling, cycling, reading, spending time with friends/family, and being outside. Last fall they had their first son, Jude. The entire family is delighted, as he is the first grandchild.
Coming from a large family it is has always been Dr. Prentice’s goal to work in a dental practice that focuses on providing individual and family centered care at all age levels. Dr. Prentice is happy to be able to provide such care at the Drumright Dental Center. After being born, raised, and educated in Oklahoma he is excited to provide quality dental care to his family of fellow Oklahomans!
