(Cushing, Okla.) The 88th Annual Cushing Lions Club Jr. Olympics will have a change of venue this year. Because the track at Cushing High School is currently still under construction, this year’s event will be held at the Drumright High School football field starting at 10 a.m.
Cushing Lions Club president Terry Brannon said the event will include 5th and 6th grade students from Cushing and Drumright. “The Lions of Drumright will be joining us for this event,” Brannon said. “What a great way for both clubs to join and serve the kids of both communities!”
Cushing students will compete during the morning hours starting at 10 a.m. and Drumright students in the afternoon beginning at 1 p.m.
Thanks to a private donor, the Lions will have a drink and snack station setup throughout the event for all Lions and coaches as they serve their communities.
Bring your lawnchairs and plenty of sunscreen and root these kids on!
Drumright High School football field is located in Whitlock Park. Turn south on Skinner Avenue and follow until you see the field.
