(Perkins, Okla.) It’s the first night of the Cimarron Breeze Concert series Saturday, April 26th at the Cimarron Territorial Plaza in Perkins. Jimmy LaFave & Night Tribe will be spreading some Red Dirt starting at 7 p.m.
LaFave, born in the small town of Wills Point, Texas, began down the Red Dirt road at a young age after his mother traded a “drawer full of green stamps” for his first guitar. Later, his family moved to Stillwater, OK where his red dirt music roots took hold. Although LaFave returned to Texas in 1986, many still think of him as an Oklahoma artist.
