Drumright, OK (April 9, 2014) – Country band LiveWire has spent the better part of the past two weeks crisscrossing Texas and Oklahoma combining concert appearances with a radio tour to promote the band’s forthcoming Way Out West Records’ single “Drivin’ You Outta My Mind,” slated for digital release to Texas/Red Dirt radio programmers via CD Tex on Monday, April 14.
Releases for other Country music charts and an iTunes on-sale date will follow. The song can be streamed at this link: https://soundcloud.com/way-out-west-records/drivin-you-outta-my-mind/s-6VMKp
On the multi-state promotional blitz, LiveWire thrilled influential radio programmers, listeners and airplay chart managers from Stillwater, Oklahoma to Houston, Texas and all points in between. A longtime staple of the Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas and Arkansas music scenes, the group performed their first concerts in the Lone Star state, converting new fans with high-energy shows in the Ft. Worth market at Red’s Roadhouse in Kennedale and at the White Elephant Saloon in the historic Stockyards district. They also performed acoustic shows at 106.9 The Ranch “Ranch Roadhouse” radio show broadcast live from The Rockett CafĂ© and Club in Waxahachie, Texas, and at an “Open House” event at Dangerous Motors in Cushing, Oklahoma, where a 1967 GTO owned by LiveWire’s lead singer Andy Eutsler is currently being restored for a “starring role” in the music video to be filmed in the coming weeks. While in Texas, LiveWire performed for Texas Music Chart executive editor, Katie Key, which was videotaped for their “Cluttered Corner” concert series, and met with Texas Regional Radio Report chart owner and editor, Dave Smith, who was a special guest at one of the band’s shows.
“We had a blast on this tour,” states Eutsler, who is also one of the song’s principal writers. “Folks in Texas and Oklahoma love their Country music, and since we have been a honky tonk band for over a decade, we gave ’em what they wanted because our shows include some real cool country classics by Haggard, Jones and Hank Jr. sprinkled in with our original songs. They made us feel right at home!”
“Drivin’ You Outta My Mind” was co-produced by Paul Carabello, Justin Woods and Clif Doyal. The song features LiveWire members Eutsler on vocals/acoustic guitar; Bobby DeGonia on electric guitars; Cory Shultz on fiddle and Brad Allen on drums. They were joined in the studio by pedal steel guitarist Scott Kwapiszeski and bassist Paul Carabello, who are also part of the group’s touring band.
“Drivin’ You Outta My Mind” is the band’s follow-up to its successful 2013 single release “Whiskey Sunday” which had an impressive run on the Texas and MusicRow radio charts. It spawned a music video which debuted on CMT.com, and is still receiving airplay on ZUUS Country, The Nashville Network and Yallwire, where it was the #1 most-watched Country video for two consecutive weeks last October. In addition, the song helped LiveWire earn a 2014 nomination for top “New Duo/Band/Group of the Year” from the Texas Regional Radio Music Awards (TRRMA).
Texas/Red Dirt radio promotion for LiveWire is handled by The Spacek Company and Dave Smith Promotions.
