Timothy Gates, age 72 of Yale passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014 at the Drumright Hospital, Drumright, Ok.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 3, 2014 at the Assembly of God Church in Yale.
Interment will follow at Lawson Cemetery, Yale, Ok.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Yale, Ok.
Timothy was born on May 16, 1941 in El Reno, Oklahoma to the late Elvin Ernest and Rosella (Gordon) Gates. He grew up in Yale, attending school in Stillwater and Yale. Timothy moved back to Yale in 1952. He attended the Assembly of God and the Cross Road Church. Timothy married Patricia Broughton on July 25, 1990 at the First Baptist Church in Oilton. He worked for Turnbow Trailers for a number of years. He enjoyed fishing and cutting firewood. Timothy loved spending time with his family.
Timothy is survived by his wife Patricia of the home, step-son Charlie Moore and wife Nancy of Quay, Step-daughter Anna Inez of Texas, Jessie Lalisa Sisco of Cushing and Caroline Lucille Sims of Jennings, sister Viola Blackwell of Silver City, Ok., grandchildren Mark, Chrissie, Les, Heather, Holly, Amy, great grandchildren Ashleigh, Audree, Journey, Ashton and Staton, several nieces and nephews Barbara Cantrell, Tiffany Dennis, Sam and Debbie Dennis and numerous others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, one sister, step-daughter Janice Barrett, step-son Raymond Richard Davis, niece and nephew Robert and Angela Browning.
