(Cushing, Okla.)  Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for area voters on Tuesday, April 1, 2014. 

In Cushing, voters will decide between incumbent Jim Hogrefe and Don Amon for Seat #5 on the Cushing Board of Commissioners.

According to the City of Perkins website, the proposition is to amend the City’s Capital Improvement Tax wording.  The change will allow the City of Perkins to purchase equipment for Public Works as well as give the Library access to the funds for the purchase of land and/or construction of a new building.  “It is not a new tax and no increase in the existing tax,” the website states.
