Virginia Boyles, longtime Cushing resident, passed away Friday, March 21, 2014, at the age of 94 years.

    The daughter of the late Nova Williams and Margie O’Leary Williams, Virginia was born on August 5, 1919, in Maramec, Oklahoma, were she and was raised and educated.

    She was united in marriage to Virgil  Boyles on February 3, 1938 in Yale, Oklahoma and to this union three children, Bruce, Bill and Linda were born.

    Virginia was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church.  She enjoyed visiting with friends and quilting at the Cushing Senior Citizen Center.  Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was her passion.

    Surviving include her husband of over 76 years, Virgil of the home; two sons, Bruce Boyles and his wife Sue of Choctaw, Oklahoma and Bill Boyles and his wife Delores of Cleveland, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Debbie Gardner and her husband Jim, Diana Zeckser and her husband Mark, Chip Boyles, Krista Clark and her husband Lonnie and Keri McSorley; nine great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

    In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant daughter Linda Boyles.

    Funeral service will be Sunday, March 23, 2014, at 2:00 PM in the Memorial Chapel of the Davis Funeral home with Pastor James Coffelt of the First Free Will Baptist Church, Cushing officiating.
