Ollie Evelyn Ridenour, age 83 of Cushing, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at her home in Cushing. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, February 8, 2014 at the First United Methodist Church in Cushing.
Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Ok.
Ollie was born on December 11, 1930 in Cushing, Oklahoma to the late Odie Nash and Fannie Mae (Dutton) Boles. She grew up in Cushing, moving to California for a short time before moving back to Cushing where she has lived since. Ollie attended school in Cushing. She worked for the Dunkin Theaters, Riley’s Meat Market, and Earl’s Jewelery in Cushing for many years. Ollie married Robert Lee “Corky” Ridenour on October 30, 1965 in Cushing. They enjoyed listening to music and dancing. She liked to fish, bowl, play cards and dominoes, shop, and was a very good cook. Ollie loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Ollie is survived by her children Gaylynn Hall of Cushing, Mark Driggs and wife Julie of Oklahoma City, Dirk Ridenour and wife Kim of Cushing, Rudy Ridenour of Cushing, Prisci Loveland and husband Steve of Cushing, Renee Wood of Tulsa, brothers Buck Boles and wife Joyce of Wichita, KS., Larry Boles and wife Debbie of Mabank, TX, sister Kathy Boles of Mabank, TX., grandchildren Joshalyn Ocker, Sheli Dawn Thomas, Jennifer Thompson, Derek and Jace Ridenour, Riley, Ryan, Nash, Nevan and Natalie Ridenour, Kerrigan Wiley, Melissa Boles, Greg Morgan, Gentry Lane, Kristin Wasson, Jana Weidower and Shelli Shaffer, 28 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
