Doris Merene Bowdoin passed away Friday, December 27, 2013, in the Hillcrest/Cushing Hospital at the age of 80 years.

    The daughter of the late Jessie Doyle Perry and Doris Faulk Perry, Doris was born on June 14, 1933, in Crowley, Louisiana, and was raised and educated in that area.

    She was united in marriage to Kipling A. Bowdoin on September 21, 1951 in Sulphur, Louisiana, and to this union three children, Pamela, Wayne and Kevin were born.  The couple moved to Cushing in September of 2001 and she had lived here since that time.  Kipling preceded her in death on February 4, 2002.

    Doris was a member of the Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church.  She enjoyed reading, sewing, fishing, gardening and playing cards.

    Survivors include her children, Pamela Bayhylle of Cushing and Kevin Bowdoin and his wife Dotty of Bland, Missouri; one brother James Perry and his wife Gloria; one sister-in-law, Jan Hoffpauir and her husband Louis; grandson, Bruce Bayhylle; two great-grandchildren, Braydan Brazee and Kali Bayhylle; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

    In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son Wayne Bowdoin; her brother, Alfred Ray Perry and one son-in-law Arnold Bayhylle.

    Graveside services will be Monday, December 30, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in the Euchee Valley Memorial Park Cemetery.
