(Stillwater) – The Payne County Board of Commissioners has approved a construction contract totaling $1.34 million for construction of a new County Health Department Building in Cushing. The contract was approved on Thursday during the regularly scheduled end of the month meeting.
The contract was revisited by commissioners after the original bids for the project came in substantially higher than expected, and the commissioners made changes to the facility to lower the cost.
The contract calls for “substantial completion of the project within 300 days. “
