(Cushing, Okla.) October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and that means it is almost time for the annual Breast Cancer Awareness Luncheon fundraiser. Marian Gilkerson, director of the Cushing Regional Hospital Foundation, said tickets will go on sale Wednesday, Oct. 3rd. “Remember, tickets go fast!”
Anyone interested in donating a basket for the Silent Auction must contact one of the committee members, bring it by the Foundation office (located next door to Hillcrest Hospital Cushing) or contact Marian Gilkerson at 918-225-8125.
Baskets will begin to be displayed at local banks next week. Once the baskets are picked up for the Luncheon, they will continue to be displayed for bidding at the First United Methodist Church beginning at 10 a.m. – prior to the Luncheon which begins at 11:30 a.m.
Gilkerson urges everyone to help “Sink Breast Cancer” whatever way they can – by donating, bidding or attending the Luncheon. “These funds remain in the Cimarron Valley Region and are used to provide care for those that cannot afford it.”
