(Cushing, Okla) – A Cushing man was killed in a truck crash Monday afternoon East of Cushing on State Highway 33.  The Oklahoma Highway Patrol has identified the victim as 41 year old James Timothy Wiley.

The OHP says Wiley was driving a 1998 International truck west on SH33 when the truck veered of the roadway, struck two trees, landed in a ravine and caught fire around 12:30 PM.  The mishap occurred about 4 miles east of Cushing.

Wiley was pinned in the wreckage about two and a half hours.

Emergency responders from Drumright and Cushing were on the scene more than three hours. 

The Highway Patrol says the accident remains under investigation.

Troopers were unable to determine whether Wiley was wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident.
