(Cushing, Okla.) Two teens have died as a result of a head-on collision on U.S. 177 near Perkins. Grady McIntire, 19, of Tryon, died at the scene and Callie Mainus, 18, of Agra, died early Wednesday morning.
The crash happened at approximately 7 p.m. Tuesday when McIntire lost control on a curve and struck a pickup driven by Mainus. Mainus was transported to OU Medical Center in critical condition, but died later.
According to Oklahoma Highway reports, the roadway was wet and McIntire was going too fast for conditions. Seat belts were not in use in either vehicle.
