As part of the Grand Opening festivities for Wal-Mart’s Super Center, located on east Main, Wal-Mart gave Grant checks to the following organizations:
Cushing Public School District: $5,000
Chamber Of Commerce: $2500
United Funds: $2500
American Cancer Society
(Relay for Life): $2500
Cushing Police Department: $2500
Cushing Fire Department: $2500
A total $22,500 in grant checks were awarded to local charities and organizations.
Wal-Mart is known for it’s support of small town communities and Cushing’s new Wal-mart Super Center showed their support during their first day in business at the new facility in a big way!
