(Cushing, Okla.) Billboard writer Chuck Dauphin just posted a review of the 2012 OilPatch Festival, complete with Kix Brooks interview and a nod to KUSH radio.
Dauphin was interviewed briefly by Sean Kelly during KUSH’s live broadcast of the event on July 4th and was a guest on the Donna & Molly Show the next morning.
It was Dauphin’s second visit to the Sellers Ranch for their annual 4th of July celebration, but his first visit as a writer for Billboard. “People seem to pay a little more attention now that I have ‘Billboard’ on my card,” he laughed.
Dauphin not only writes for Billboard (Covering Country Music from Music City – the 615 with Chuck Dauphin) but is the host of a country oldies show on a radio station near Nashville. “I love radio,” Dauphin admitted.
Dauphin left KUSH with an open-ended invitation to “come back any time!”
