(Drumright, Okla.)  The numbers are in – the 2012 Summer OilPatch Festival set a new record for the number of people attending the annual “party” at the Seller’s Ranch in Drumright.  This year’s total was a whopping 13,500.

This year’s theme song – “Sounds Like a Party” was definitely an indicator of what was to come as guests filed in ready to celebrate the Nation’s birthday.

The musical line up included local favorites such as The Red Dirt Rangers (https://www.reddirtrangers.com/music.htm) and Bo Phillips https://bophillipsband.com/), as well as up-and-comers like Flat River Band: www.flatriverband.com

The band LiveWire was surprised, just prior to their performance, with a presentation from Way Out West Records – copies of their new CD, “Livin’.”

Two familiar songs LiveWire performed at the Festival  – ‘Tater Fed’ and ‘Gone.’

Festival favorite Shawna Russell returned for her fifth appearance and revved the crowd with the theme song “Sounds Like a Party” (click here to listen:https://www.shawnarussell.com/  Shawna also wowed the crowd with her rendition of an Adele song – “Set Fire to the Rain.”

As darkness fell upon the Ranch, and the full moon began to rise on the horizon – fireworks began.  Over 20 minutes of finale-style fireworks had the ooohs and ahhhhs of the huge crowd.

Immediately following the fireworks display, Kix Brooks took over the stage rocking it with the performance everyone had waited for.  For more information on Brooks’ new solo career go to: www.kixbrooks.com

Aside from a power outage early in the day, the 2012 OilPatch Festival went off without a hitch and proved to be everything one could hope for.  Good food, good fun, great entertainment and a feeling of pride of being in the good ol’ USA!

On behalf of those attending – THANK YOU RICK AND MYRNA SELLERS, Keystone Gas Corporation, Pacer Marketing and the Friends of the OilPatch!
