(Cushing, Okla.) Cushing City Clerk Cindy Manning has submitted her letter of resignation to City Manager Steve Spears. Her resignation was accepted by the Board of Commissioners at Monday night’s meeting.
“It has been fun to be a very small part of many exciting projects throughout the years,” Manning wrote. “Whether it be the accounting for or the countless number of meetings sat through documenting the many facets of each event, it has been an exciting time to work for the City of Cushing.”
Manning also expressed her gratitude to “the greatest asset the City of Cushing is lucky enough to have and that is the dedicated, resourceful, tireless, and often times overlooked City Employees.”
Manning has worked for the City of Cushing since 1993. Her retirement date is April 30, 2012, however, they are currently transitioning to the new City Clerk, Jerrica Kahle.
