(Cushing, OK) Cushing’s monthly city meeting went off without a hitch as commissioners made their way through the regular meeting agendas.  All commissioners were present with exception of Jim Holgrefe.

  Approved with other items on the Consent Docket, was a motion to approve the request of Land O’Lakes to operate the water well situated on the Hudson Superfund Site for the propose of supplementing the water supply irrigation of the Hudson Superfund Site for a period expiring December 31, 2012. 

  In general business, Resolution No. 08-2012, nine Quantum Evolution Level III-A Body Armor vests with related equipment in the sum of 4,536.00 for the Cushing Police Department was approved.  Chief Brannon stated “that the new equipment is the most “state of the art” vests on the market today.” 

 Resolution No. 07-2012 , met with approval, an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2011-12 City of Cushing General Fund Budget increasing the police department Title 63 revenue line item account in the amount of $226.00 and increasing the police department Title 63 expense line item account in the amount of $226.00. 

Approved in general business, was Resolution No. 06-2012,  authorizing the chairman and board of commisioners, to execute change order No. 5 in the sum of $6,329.61 with B&B Builders, L.L. C. for the Cushing Public Safety Center.

  In other general business three locations were approved with one “no” vote from Commissioner Carey Seigle on one of the three locations that Calyx Energy,LLC made requests of.

First motion at the request of Calyx Energy, LLC was to drill an oil and gas well (Fowler #3-1MH) within the limits of the Cushing Water District in the NW/4 NW/4 of Section 3-T17N-R4E, I.M., Payne County, Oklahoma.

Motion passed.

The third motion to approve the request of Calyx Energy, LLC to drill an oil and gas well (Wilson#11-1 SWD) within the limits of the Cushing Water District in the NE/4 NE/4 of Section 11-T17N-R4E, I.M., Payne County, Oklahoma.

Motion passed with one “no” vote.

Joel Johnson, managing partner for Universal Land Services, land department for Calyx Energy LLC, was on hand to answer questions from the commissioners before the three motions were put to a vote of the commissioners.

  The Cushing Municipal Authority Agenda and the Cushing Hospital Authority Board of Trustees Agenda seen approvals of their Consent Dockets as those agendas made way to adjournments.

  Commissioners are currently making plans to hold a planning session for the proposed 2013 budget in mid March with a possible budget approval the first week of April.
