(Cushing, Okla) – Longtime Cushing Board of Education Member Frank Denney has submitted a letter of resignation to fellow board members.  The Board is expected to take action on the resignation during tonight’s regular meeting of the Board of Education.

Denney has served on the Board for many years, including multiple stints as President.

Tonight’s meeting will be conducted by Board Vice President Shawn Hubble.

Denney has moved outside of the District.

Cushing School Superintendent Koln Knight told KUSH today that Board members will appoint someone to fill out the unexpired term, and the seat will be up for election at the next school election.

Board seat five covers south central Cushing.  A map of the board districts is available at the Cushing Public Schools Administrative offices at 1701 N. Little.
