Noel Zene Crase, age 52 of Yale passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Integris Baptist

Hospital, Oklahoma City.  Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012 at

Church of God in Yale.  Brother Mich Dershem will officiate.  Interment will follow at Underwood

Cemetery,Yale.

Noel was born on September 26, 1959 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Kenneth D. and Della R. (Watts) Crase. 

He grew up and attended school in Sperry.  While in school he was involved in student council and

was drum major for 2 years, receiving the John Phillip Sousa Award.  Noel graduated from Sperry

High School in 1977.  He attended Conner State for two years, where he started and was president of

the Rodeo Club and also held office in Phi Beta Kappa.  Noel then attended O.S.U. and received his

degree in Mechanized Ag.  Noel married the love of his life Kathy Oakley on October 8, 1982 at the

First Christian Church in Sperry.  After they were married they lived in Cleveland for two years

and then made their home in Yale.  He worked for the State of Oklahoma as a land management

technician and later a soil conservationist.  He was also a licensed appraiser.  They were members

of Fellowship Baptist Church.  He helped build the props for Vacation Bible School for many years. 

At the Fall Festival, he helped make the spook house every year.  He enjoyed carpentry work, riding

horses and team roping.  Noel especially loved spending time with his family.

Noel is survived by his wife Kathy Crase of the home, daughters Sarah Crase of Yale, Ashley

Henderson and husband Shawn of Morrison, parents Kenneth and Della Crase of Sperry, mother-in-law

Pearlene Oakley of Sperry, brother-in-law Ron Oakley and wife Deanna of Sperry, sister-in-law

Cheryl Hoot and husband John of Owasso, niece Susan Human and husband Jimmy of Sperry, niece

Michelle Oakley of Sperry, Nephew Justin Hoot of Tulsa, and great nephew Gavin Human of Sperry.

He was preceded in death by his father-in-law Leo Oakley.
