(Cushing, Okla.) Friday morning Cushing police conducted an Occupant Safety Checkpoint in the 1000 blk N. Little Avenue. Cushing police officers were joined by members of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol and Payne County Sheriff’s Department.
Law enforcement officer’s a made total of 32 contacts, which was a combination of courtesy contacts and citations. There were no physical arrests nor were any vehicles impounded.
“I appreciated Sheriff Hauf and the members of the Oklahoma Highway Patrol joining us this morning,” Chief Terry Brannon said. “The checkpoint gives law enforcement agencies in Payne County an opportunity to join their efforts to promote driver safety.”
