Kimberly Ann Pope, a lifelong Cushing resident, passed away at her home on March 20, 2011 at the age of 51 years.
Memorial services have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, OK and will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 24, 2011 in the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), Cushing, OK.
Kim was born on March 20, 1960 in Cushing, OK. She was reared and educated in Cushing, graduating from Cushing High School with the class of 1978. Kim had worked for several companies in Cushing, including the Maveric Mini Marts, Braum’s, Escott’s Foods, but her favorite was her most recent job working as a bar tender at the Buckhorn. In her spare time she loved to decorate, shopping, gardening and collecting pictures.
Survivors include her husband David; two children, Dawn Exton and Chris Pope and his fiance’ Laura Overton all of Cushing; three step-children, Cassy Pope, Ashley D. Pope, and David M. Pope all of Cushing; mother, Joyce Willard of Cushing; father, Lloyd Slater and his wife Betty of Cushing; one sister, Pam Roberts and her husband Tim of Tulsa; one grandson, Izaac David Pope; one niece, Aimee Meyerdirk; one nephew, Aaron Roberts; nine step-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
