Helen L. “Susie Wooton” Corley, 64, of Cushing, passed away on March 12, 2011 at Cushing Regional Hospital.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, OK. Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2011 in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Kevin Clouse, officiating. Interment will be in the Highland Cemetery of Oilton, OK.
Helen was born on April 25, 1946 in Cushing to Earl Everett and Velma Mae(Spradlin) Wooton. Helen was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force service during Vietnam War, Lifetime member of the American Legion and V.F.W. Helen was a member of Park Place Baptist Church and graduated from OSU with a teaching degree in special education.
Survivors include her children; Russell Earl Corley and wife Connie of Cushing, Peggy Nabors of Tecumseh, OK. 2 Brothers; Earl E. Wooton, Jr. of Cushing and Jimmy Ray (JR) Wooten and wife Susie of Cushing. One sister; Linda Bratcher and husband Roger of Newcastle, OK. 5 Grandchildren; Crystal, Eddie, Casey, Candi and Hanna. 3 Great Grandchildren; Savannah, Adrianna and Caden. Numerous other relatives.
