(Blackwell, Okla) — The Cushing Tigers opened the 2010-11 basketball season at Blackwell with mixed results. The Cushing Lady Tigers cruised to a 58-30 win over the Lady Maroons. Cushinig was never seriously challenged in the contest, and led 33-8 at halftime.
The Cushing boys weren’t as fortunate, losing 44-37 in a game that was close throughout, but a late run by the Maroons and porr free throw shooting doomed the Tigers.
Cushing’s next game and home opener is Tuesday, November 30th against Mannford.
Tipoff for the junior varsity games is at 4:00 PM, with the Lady Tigers Varsity games at 6:30 PM. Varsity Boys tipoff is at 8:00 PM.
