The Chandler Lions continued to slide Friday night losing to the Star Spencer Bobcats 28-20 in a game that went down to the wire! Chandler in the third quarter began to watch the game slip out of their hands turning the ball over to the Bobcats 3 times off fumbles, allowing fourteen unanswered points in the third quarter off turnovers. However, Chandler came soaring back in the fourth quarter led by the Lions defense and special teams play.  In the fourth quarter the special teams blocked two punts by the Bobcats giving the offense great field position for the Lion comeback. Chance Rich took over quarterback duties in the third quarter with Jorge Mares replacing Rich at running back. Mares ran for 127 yards and two touchdowns with most of the yards coming in the second half.  Chance Rich also had a touchdown for the Lions in their losing efforts.  The future however does look bright for the Lions dominating the Bobcats in every aspect of the game, but let the win slip out of their grasp on  a friday night where the best team wasn’t the winning team.

Chandler will look to get on the winning side of the scoreboard as they will host the Prague Red Devils in Chandler Friday at 7:30pm. Don’t miss a play listen live to Perry and Jeff at www.1600kush.com
