Cushing Regional Hospital held a luncheon Tuesday to welcome Dr. Dustin Cupp, D.O. and his family to Cushing. He and his wife Amanda and three children – Abigail (1), Andrew (4) and Carson (who turns 6 next week) moved to Cushing last week after much anticipation.
“We’ve been waiting for this day for a long time,” Cushing Regional Hospital CEO Randy DuBois said. “It was well over a year ago we started talking to Dustin. We are thrilled to have you as a part of this community.”
“Thank you for the generous introduction,” Dr. Cupp said. “I’m humbled for all of you to be here welcoming us. We have been planning and thinking about it for a long time, too. We feel the Lord called us here and we are looking forward to calling Cushing home.”
Dustin Cupp, D.O. graduated from Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa in 2007. During that time he received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence and the President’s Award for Academic Excellence. He completed his residency training at In His Image Christian Family Medicine Residency in Tulsa in 2010.
Dr. Cupp’s medical interests include rural medicine, sports medicine, geriatric medicine/hospice care and integration of faith and medicine.
He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP), Oklahoma Academy of Family Physicians (OAFP), American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, Christian Medical and Dental Association, and Oklahoma Osteopathic Association.
