(Cushing, Okla.) Daughters of the Revolution (DAR) members in Cushing heard of a need and have responded. When the VA Hospital put out a request for personal clothing items for the veterans they serve, Cushing DAR members set a plan in motion.
Through the end of the month, those wishing to donate items such as socks, t-shirts, sweat pants and t-shirts, may place them under the patriotically decorated Christmas tree at any of the banks in Cushing: Bank of Cushing (both locations), Bank of the West and RCB Bank. Anyone wishing to make a monetary donation for the purchase of items, may do so at any of the tellers.
“Every dime will go toward the purchase,” DAR representative Susie Crowder told KUSH. “There are no administrative fees.”
