Local residents came out Thursday to celebrate the recent CD release of Dr. Michael J. Babb.
Dr. Babb donned on his cowboy duds for a special celebration held Thursday at Medical Associates in Cushing. Dr. Babb performed songs from his CD, “Great Western Cattle Trail, Songs for the cowboy in all of us.” CDs were available for purchase for just $5 each and Dr. Babb took time between songs to autograph those purchased.
The CD consists of 5 songs written and performed by Dr. Babb and came about after he was asked to write a song about the Great Western Cattle Trail for Rotary Club. Dr. Babb said he decided to add several songs and record a CD to showcase other songs he has written, including the popular “Cellphone Lover” heard on KUSH Radio 1600 AM each Thursday morning on the Donna and Molly Show. Proceeds from the CD will go toward the eradication of Polio through Rotary International.
