The kids could hardly wait until the last bolt was placed before trying out the newest addition to Cushing Memorial Park – the skate park. This week is Spring Break for area students and has proven to be a great time to try out the much anticipated park.
Passersby may have seen as many as 20 or 30 kids at a time taking a turn on the ramps. Mayor John Henckel said, “It’s great to see the kids enjoying it already. That’s what we wanted.”
A ribbon cutting and “official” opening will be held soon.
