(Stillwater, Okla.) — A Chandler man on probation in Lincoln and Pottawatomie counties was given a five-year prison term Friday for possessing a stolen 1998 Dodge in Cushing and a concurrent one-year jail term for obstructing Cushing Police Officer Matt Piatt by giving him a name other than his own.

James Wendell Price III, 25, who pleaded guilty to both counts Friday, has been in the Payne County Jail since his arrest on Jan. 6 by the Cushing officer, court records show.

According to court records and the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, Price was previously convicted of:

* unauthorized use of a vehicle in 2016 in Chandler for which he was given a 10-year suspended sentence on Dec. 20, 2016;

* larceny from a house in 2015 in Chandler for which he was given a concurrent 10-year suspended sentence on Dec. 20, 2016;

* false personation and unauthorized use of a vehicle in Pottawatomie County in 2013 for which he was given a five-year suspended sentence on Dec. 4, 2013.
