(Stillwater, Okla.) — An arrest warrant has been issued for an ex-convict accused of knowingly concealing a large amount of stolen property in Stillwater after having prior felony convictions in Payne, Oklahoma and McIntosh counties.
Due to his criminal record, Joshua Louis Whitener, 32, of Stillwater, could be imprisoned for six years to life if convicted of his Payne County stolen property charge that was filed this week.
Whitener was accused of knowingly concealing a 55-inch television, two Sony game systems, a Nintendo games system, an X-box one games system, three games, a 27-inch television, a sound bar, a watch, a printer and an ice chest in Stillwater on March 19 that had been stolen from three men.
According to state Department of Corrections and court records, Whitener was previously convicted of:
* attempting to manufacture a drug in 2002 in McIntosh County for which he was placed on seven years of probation in 2003;
* second-degree burglary in 2005 in Oklahoma County for which he was given a 10-year prison term in 2008, but only served about three years;
* methamphetamine possession in 2007 in Oklahoma County for which he was given a concurrent 10-year prison term in 2008, but only served about three years;
* drug possession in 2013 in Payne County for which he was placed on 10 years’ probation with an order to enroll in Drug Court in 2014 that he completed in 2016.
