(Tulsa, Okla.)  The Tulsa Youth Symphony’s Preparatory, Concert and Symphony Orchestras will present their Spring Serenade Concert on Sunday, May 6, 2018 in the Union Public Schools Performing Arts Center, 6636 South Mingo Road starting at 3 pm. In addition, there will be a silent auction benefiting the Tulsa Youth Symphony!

 
General admission tickets available at the door at 2 p.m. $15.00 adults, $10.00 children and seniors. Tickets may also be purchased online through EventBrite!

 
The Tulsa Youth Symphony, in its 54th season, provides orchestral training to 175 students from northeast Oklahoma.

 
The Preparatory Orchestra, conducted by Amelia Ivory and Michael Nicolson, will perform Roszell’s Take Flight, Silva’s Northern Lights, Thomas’ Legionary, and Grieg’s Prelude of the Holberg Suite arranged by McBrien.

 
The Concert Orchestra, conducted by Pete Peterson, will perform the finale of Brahms’ Symphony No. 1, Maurice Ravel’s Pavane for a Dead Princess, and Francesca Da Rimini by Tchaikovsky.

 
The Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Ron Wheeler and Richard Wagner, will perform Selections from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera, the first movement of Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto in A Major performed by Sophie Fears, Wagner’s “March and Grail Scene” from Parsifal, the first movement of Cello Concerto No. 1 in A Minor by Camille Saint Saens performed by Jennifer Ripley and the finale of Symphony No. 2 by Jean Sibelius.
